Conditions for obtaining service

To get initial approval from the Jordanian Petroleum Refinery to establish the agency.

Procedures

  1. The applicant shall submit an application for establishing a new gas agency at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
  2. The Governor shall, at the request of the owner of the agency, address the Directorate of Civil Defense / Prevention and Self-Protection Department to take the required procedures and direct the owner of the agency to visit the Directorate of Civil Defense where the letter shall be sent by hand with him.
  3. The Public Service Desk shall fill out the service request form with the necessary information about the establishment, ensure that all the information and documents are completed and set a date for the inspection and register it on the inspection service record according to the specified schedule.
  4. The physical inspection of the agency's office and vehicles shall be carried out by the prevention officer and a detailed inspection report shall be prepared. If the agency meets the requirements, the Governor shall be addressed to approve the establishment of the agency. If the conditions are not met, copy of the inspection form shall be given to the concerned party to make the required amendments.
  5. The computer officer in the Department of Prevention and Self-Protection shall enter the station into the early warning system and give it a number and include it within the annual plan for gas and fuel, where the agency shall be inspected once a year and followed up by the concerned Directorate.

Required Documents

  1. A letter from the Governor of the region to which  the gas agency belongs.
  2. Initial approval from Jordan Petroleum Refinery.
  3. A certified lease contract for the agency's office or the title deed.
  4. Copy of distribution vehicle licenses.
  5. Copy of the agency's owner ID card.
  6. A written undertaking by the owner of the agency to comply with the Civil Defense instructions.
  7. Copy of the storage agreement with the gas depot approved by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
